We stayed in a sweet little suite at a Hotel in Middleton.
We LOVED our little home away from home.
Of course, we ate at Ian's.
We met the Samson family there for our first meal in town. They returned with us to our hotel so the boys could all swim together while the adults visited. After they went home for bed, we stayed up, swam some more, hot tubbed til we were toasty warm, and turned in much later than usual.
Saturday morning we woke up after 8AM!!! Also, much later than usual for us.
We had continental breakfast, which really wasn't very good.
But we didn't care because we had us.
Then we went out on the town. Driving, viewing, walking, window shopping.
We ate at AJ Bomber's. It was Greg's first time.
We returned "home" for Zeek to swim some more.
We decided to skip our movie theater plans and just go to a close by diner for dinner.
Hubbard Avenue Diner - delish!
We drove back to our sweet little place with cookies, cake and ice-cream in toe. We climbed into our king family bed, rented some movies on through Amazon on our Roku, watched, ate, snuggled and fell asleep late again.
Sunday, we went back to Hubbard's for breakfast. I had pie. The guys had their favorite- Egg's Benedict.
Back at the Hotel, Zeek swam, and Greg and I played Phase 10 by the poolside.
We packed up our room, checked out of our hotel and headed to the Children's museum.
We played there until we were so hungry.
Then we went to Ian's for our last meal out before departure.
We got home around 5:30 last night, with a grocery bag of fresh dinner from Festival. We are looking forward to a week of healthy, homemade foods.
The whole house was nice and clean from our Home Study on Friday morning before we left. It felt like we were unpacking into our full time resort.
It was a really nice weekend. A needed getaway with friends. exploring and blessings all around.
